A huge amount has happened since the last issue. The disaster in Japan, the expanding Republican anti-Union jihad and the progressive backlash, and the international action in Lybia. Meanwhile I have been having a hard time keeping up. You've probably noticed I have been on more of a biweekly rather than weekly newsletter schedule. I plan on keeping it going but not sure with the same intensity.
For those who want to help out in Japan, International Planned Parenthood has teamed up with the Japan Organization for International Cooperation on Family Planning to provide healthcare for mothers and newborns, counseling and psychological care for trauma victims and relief supplies such as disposable diapers, sanitary napkins and clothing for women and newborns. For those who are familiar with the problems in the Red Cross, this is a good alternative charity to donate to.
