Jeff Immelt and the Fed

Maybe this is generally known, but Jeff Immelt of no tax-paying GE and Head of the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness has also been in the Federal Reserve club.

General Electric Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt tendered his resignation from the New York Fed's board, effective March 9, due to increased demands on his time, the regional Fed bank said in a statement on Thursday. Immelt had been a director since January 2006. Each Reserve Bank has nine directors.

Note that he served during Tim Geithner's reign as President of the New York Fed.
