In another time, involving anything other than political "nonprofits", would the consistent and repeated movement of individuals between nonprofit and for-profit entities be tolerated? I'm well outside my area of competence, but keep hearing of egregious behavior on the part of Newscorp's for-profit entities (Fox News, etc.) and various political nonprofits (Tea Party Factions, Republican Party, etc.). Is their a constitutional exception for political nonprofits in the constitution? How does this sort of movement of individuals and resources not get scrutinized like a religious organization?
Again, I'm asking for some insight from someone who is speaking from their area of competence - perhaps even expert on the subject. EOM
