Downie and Kunitz who is right?

Kunitzhit Tampa Bay forward Simon Gagne with an elbow to the head in the first periodand was given a minor penalty.



"Kunitz delivered an elbow directly tothe head of his opponent," Colin Campbell, the NHL'ssenior vice president for hockey operations, said in a statement.



Also in the first period, Downie leveled Pittsburghdefenseman Ben Lovejoy behind the Lightning net, but not before Lovejoy got thepuck to Maxime Talbot, who quickly moved up ice to score at the other end andnegate the penalty.



"Downie left his feet and launchedhimself at the head of his opponent and he came from a considerable distance,with speed and force, to deliver the check," Campbell said.



The suspensions were assessed after bothplayers took part in conference calls with league officials on Tuesday.



Pittsburghleads the best-of-seven series 2-1.
